This settlement agreement and release of claims template can be used to resolve a dispute that has arisen between two parties. This template includes practical guidance, drafting notes, and alternate and optional clauses. This agreement contains the terms and conditions by which the parties will settle their disagreement or controversy, and includes the parties' identities, the claims and matters that are subject to and are being released pursuant to the agreement. This template describes the consideration to be paid or provided in exchange for the release of the underlying claims, which may include the cessation of any tortious conduct.
